Abstract
Objectives: To investigate the effects of adults¡¯ demographic characteristics and mental health on subjective self-rated oral health, a study was conducted using the data of those who participated in the 8th KNHANES. Additionally, this study was conducted to provide basic data that can be used to develop an intervention program for maintaining and promoting oral health.

Methods: To investigate the relationship between demographic characteristics, mental health, and subjective self-rated oral health, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis were conducted and analyzed.

Results: Regarding the effect of mental health on subjective self-rated oral health, higher levels of stress and generalized anxiety disorder had a negative effect on subjective self-rated oral health, and statistical significance was verified.
Conclusions: To maintain and promote oral health by researching various factors related to Korean adults' oral and mental health, a feasible self-rated oral health project should be operated by establishing an institutional oral health policy.
